What is Godzilla?

Godzilla is a fictional monster or kaiju from japanese films. Its first appearance was in 1954 godzilla movie.


What is B movie?

A B movie is a 1950's traditional low commercial budget film that was used during the golden age of hollywood intended for distribution as th less publicized bottom half of a double feature although the us production of movies intended as second features ceased by the end of the 1950s. Many B movie films display a high degree of craft and aesthetic ingenuity. The most popular genre of B movies in the 1950s were the horror science fictions/ scifi. They mostly played the same star character over and over again.

What was happening during this time peroid?

During this time period America was in the new dawn of the cold war and the civil rights movements. The enemies that they were facing is the communists that are in the east that is trying to dominate the whole region. 1950s were also the golden of Capitalism a period of economic growth, higher wages, businuesses were booming. The west were still mostly investing their GDP into defence since the enormous threat of the enemy from the west were increasing.



What were people's concerns and fears?

During the 1950s people were scared from the communists in US during the cold war. This was also known as the redscare. They were also scared about the potential threat of nuclear destruction which would of most likely be the end of the world and the last world war. They were more afraid of what the scientists could produce.
