This is where I write my research on Andy Warhol.

Blog: Andy warhol was born in Pittsburgh on the August of 6th 1928 while living in a Ghetto area during the time of the great depression. Then died in another state, Pennsylvania, U.S. -died February 22 1987 New York. He was living with his family in a poor area, he had a disorder when he can't go to school so he had to stay home and be home school and had sensitivity to sun light. Andy never really went outside during his younger years. His first own "mini studio" were was in his house while living with his family. Everyday were we wanted a treat his mother usually set him some task to do some nice drawings, so Andy did that. The only best treat he could ever have was a can of tomato soup. When Andy realised that he done a lot of good drawings, he wanted to move out of the poor place sooner and quickly and become a super star. Andy is associated with the art movement called "pop art" which was he was incredibly known for during his time.

Although Warhol didn't invent the photographic silkscreen process, he created his own technique by combining hand-painted backgrounds with photographic silkscreen printed images to create unique works of art by using copper paint while laying it down horizontally on the floor then allowing a result of the art work. Mostly he used acrylic painting to use the roller to print it on to the canvas. Andy was mostly inspired by Robert Rauschenberg and Jasper Johns which then allows him to expand his artwork to the world and create his own unique style of his. Throughout Andy's art career which was drawing, painting, printmaking, film, music and video, Andy left an huge impression mostly on American culture and modern art. The known art pieces he also done during that time were; his film called "sleeping", known artworks; Campbell Soup cans and art forms: screen printing.

With Andy's portrait work he mostly explored around with human psychology which was death. One of of his latest examples of that was his artwork icon was Marilyn Monroe with a lot of distorted portraits of wacky but yet simple colours and black and white. She was described as a "immortal goddess". There some following similar style that Andy did with other female icons too, with the same technique and style.
