Halo Live action game trailer

Writer's picture: Nicholas YamamotoNicholas Yamamoto

For this film project we did a live action game trailer for Halo Infinite. We filmed somewhere in an secluded area near the local forest in Kingston. We had to take the bus there from college and it was a short journey. Surprisingly. Originally we wanted to do star wars but someone else took it. During the filming we brought the story board. There were at least 6 live scenes and 1 or three takes just to see which one is the best. My role was the camera person. Reason why I picked camera person is because I had experience in cinematography and photography so I knew how to operate with cameras. It wasn't a professional one like the one in college so we just borrowed the portable vlogging camera. It was good for its job. The other people for the roles were Niran the clapper board, Dylan the director and Joe the back up I guess. Before we set up the film we had to do a long list of boring paper work of safety, tools and equipment etc. Once that was done we were ready to go. Overall for this project, I think it was quite fun to do a group project.
