The stickman Animation gif

How I did it and understand it

This whole drawing and process was produced and made non-traditionally digitally on the computer as it was to show on how I understand on what to do of the designing and tweaking of the figure of the movement using an digital software.

For the drawing of my stickman, I first drew the figure on adobe illustrator (which was another digital software for drawing). I only used the shapes to make my stickman figure. The only shape tools I used was rectangular tool or circular tool to create the human body.

As the video showed on moodle, I had to separate it like if it was structured as like a human bones of body to ease and flex on the movement more on the character. The circle shapes were either the head and hand and then the rest of it were torso, upper leg, upper arm and lower arm, lower leg. After I created the stickman, I then export and imported it into Adobe Animate. (Which was another useful digital animation software.) After when I imported it into adobe animated, I then started heading to create my first walking animations. I first put all the body structures into the library to ease things up and then started to reinsert it from the library. After that, I separated all of the shapes out further to start forming my bone structure.

For this part I mostly used the bones tool which was to help to animated my figure easily. I first place the bone structure on the head, then the torso then connect the rest of the part of the body. When I finally finished on connecting the dots together, I placed back the shapes where it originally was.

Once this all process was over it was time to animate. For the animation, I used the frame area and dragged the stickman to the far left on the screen on the first frame. Each frame I inserted I, moved the arms and legs slowly. I also tried not to mess it up and do it neatly as best as I could.

To compare this from making an animation traditionally, I'd say it is very easy to do it on the computer. Because you mostly don't have to do it physically using the traditional way like the other artists did back in the day and also rely on your self physically using the same methods as the past artists did to create their own animation. On this 21st century, we now can rely on computers as they do all the hard work for us. Though the only draw back is, when we want to create or tweak something we have to do it our selves. But not that too much. All we just we need is some few programs, software, mouse, keyboard or digital drawing pen to create our own unique design of animation.

What went well

I made the stickman figure on how it spouse to be like on the outcome. Animation on Adobe animate was easy.

What needs to be improved on
