This is a file that contains all the instructions and resources needed to take your projects from animation to lighting and playblasting or rendering. Video tutorials will be included on Moodle and extra resource links will be attached at the end. The tutorials go in the following order: 1. Animation Tutorial – this is just a remainder of controls and adjusting the timing of your animation. Plus, some tips. Important control to remember is that ‘s’ is the shortcut used for keying, and to remember to to key all of controls every time you make a new key pose or change one. 2. Lighting Tutorial – explains what kinds of lights we use, how to put them in the scene, how to adjust them, difference between lighting for play blasts and renders and how to change the lightbulb to a mesh light. This tutorial also includes how to add a camera to your scene and look through it. Important : when adjusting the lights, remember to change the ‘Exposure’ setting, not the ‘Intensity’. 3. Rendering Tutorial – explains how to playblast, render and animate your camera. Important: Even if you playblast into an AVI file, you will still need to put it into Premier Pro and export it as an MP4 file, using the H.264 format. Do not forget to set the Catclark Subdivision for each object in your scene. This will ensure all of them are correctly smoothed. Extra resources:
